The reason why it is necessary to raise awareness about Child Abuse is because of how much it can impact a person’s life when they are older, and obviously because they are receiving either physical or psychological damage that can result in death. Some people believe that abuse is only physical, but abuse can be mental as well. Both hits and words can hurt, and when these children grow up, they can have severe self esteem issues, be depressed and suicidal, and if they have kids, pass on the abuse to them. Especially at younger ages, children are defenseless and can be severely hurt by their parents without anyone around them even knowing. Four to seven children are lost to abuse every day in America, and by bringing awareness to the situation, more lives can be saved.
